Glad to be back =)
Yes...it's been TWO years. It's the amount of time that I have been procrastinating getting my blog up. Due to a very important decision in my life, I didn't quite have much of a mood to the take the time to write about my life, despite having visited quite a number of places and met many interesting people during this period of time. Now that some significant matters are settled, I am feeling much more at ease plus I am on a short break before starting work. I suspect this is will be my last carefree break in a long time so if you wanna see me before I take off to some foreign land every Sun-Thur, let's meet up! :D
I am going to blog about what has happened these two years. I realize that blogger actually lets me edit my posting time and date so I guess I'll make full use of it and adjust the time to exactly when the event has occurred.
I got home last Wednesday night, totally exhausted from the 21hr flight and not being able to enjoy my moment of solitude on the plane (due to parents being on the same flight). My mum, who was sitting beside me, would just keep on talking to me even though I was watching some movie on the inflight entertainment. It soon became exhausting trying to watching the movie and making well-timed "yes yes"es to my mum. You must understand that I was on a United Airlines plane with inflight entertainment (finally!) but I couldn't pause/rewind at will because the entertainment was not on demand. I finally explained to my mum that I would need to watch the whole movie again in order to catch the missed parts if I continued to talk to her. I felt quite mean to tell her that but anyway she fell asleep soon after so the problem was resolved.
The most prominent thing I noted when I stepped out of Changi Airport was the weather. The heat and the humidity brought back many memories both good and bad. Even though I am glad to be back, I already miss the Bay area. The lovely weather (sunny days and aircon night temperature), the many things to do in the weekend within the area, gracious drivers, cheap cars - these are some things that can't be found in Singapore.
Meanwhile, I have been unpacking. Am just about done except for this plastic bag where I keep a lot of barang barang - things that I refuse to throw away because they bring back memories of my 4 year stay in the US. I guess I'll throw them away maybe after I scan them :P and blog about these experiences. I am also trying to get used to having my parents around and being a considerate being. 9 months of living by myself has made me extremely insensitive to others' needs. Now instead of letting my stuff flood the floor, I must clean up after myself. There are a few advantages of not living by myself though - rides from daddy, cooking from mummy, laundry and housework is done by either of them. Now I do sound like a spoilt brat! I think better enjoy first...wait till start job then no such thing is going to happen liao.
