My New Handphone

Anyone heard of the Dopod 818 Pro? I decided to get it after some extensive internet research into pda smartphones. I wanted something with a camera, multimedia, able to edit documents and have wireless connection to the internet. This phone fits the bill fabulously and only made a small dent on my wallet - S$200. I got it from m1. I was supposed to be able to save a further $30 if I got it from online shopping but they had already run out. I was lucky to be able to find the phone on sale at the m1 main store @ Bugis. I heard that they had only 5 handsets left.
This phone uses a SD card instead of miniSD or MMC card, so the SD card reader + 2GB SD card I bought for $6 comes in very handy. Now I can take photos with my phone and load them onto my laptop without doing the active sync process!

I am still not used to the relative clunkiness of the phone compared to my Nokia 6610 (which is now worth about $10). I fumble when taking it out of the case and am in constant fear that the phone will drop onto the ground. Now it is time to search for a nice screen protector and a phone case!
