The Lagunita Lakehouse

It would have been very nice to have a real lake on campus, I think. This photo features Lake Lagunita in its heyday. Now it is a wasteland (but people still jog around it).

I "discovered" the Lakehouse while taking a really slow walk at night with my parents after dinner. We walked through Granada dorm and saw what kind of condition it was in...I kinda feel fortunate for my residence @ Duke. Some Stanford dorms are still quite expensive, no aircon and old! The Lakehouse is supposed to face the lake ...it must have been something to sit there on an idyllic Sunday and watch the sailboats go by while sipping a cup of coffee! Now the Lakehouse is yet another events place on campus, sans the lake. When is Stanford going to fill the lake up?
