Nine bags, 2 plastic bags and 1 knapsack later...
Packing was a royal pain. It is like trying to put four years' of accumulated stuff in 1 huge luggage, 1 medium luggage, 6 cabin luggages and 1 giant duffel bag. Dad got the brunt of the packing stuff, including my dresser top load of toiletries. How did I accumulate so many toiletries?

As I was on an early morning flight, my dad and I spent forever squeezing stuff into bags and weighing the bags using the weighing machine we bought at Target. In the end, my dad was so efficient that we even had space to store the weighing machine and to dedicate an entire cabin bag for all my softtoys :P. Mum as usual was nagging a lot and trying to sleep amidst all the packing. She even woke up several times to "supervise" the packing but as you know, too many cooks spoil the broth.
Too bad all my food could not be brought home and was instead donated to Nick, who was so nice as to help my parents carry down their 50 pound heavy luggages to the Supershuttle at 7am and help me store stuff to sell to Dominic.
At SFO, we really had to get push carts for our bags and here's a moneysaving tip? If you have one person and 3 bags, tough luck --> go rent a cart. If you have two or more people, you can put one person in charge of the bags while the others can go look for carts. Typical places to find free carts include check in counters and the place right outside the line for the security check. See, I am relieving the cart keeper of his duties :P
