Merry X'mas!

Wishing everyone a Merry X’Mas and a Happy New Year!
Office was slack today. Everyone was raring to leave and was asking each other what was the exact time to close shop. Most people were in casual attire so I was rather relieved because I was wearing a flowery short skirt (which I think attracted many ??? glances from people, dunno what’s wrong).
Went to Chinatown today. It was so crowded and there was a festive atmosphere. Ate yummy Peking duck and Buddha Jump Over the Wall from Spring Court.. ARGHH. Duck skin=calories. See lah, now no appetite for dinner. Then we walked all around Chinatown…aiyah the stuff in OG cannot make it lah…so old fashion. I spent half the time trying on shoes that wouldn’t fit my fat feet =(. There was this woman who was trying to sell my mom a “new age” slimming outfit. I don’t see why middle-aged women want to torture themselves in slimming outfits that purportedly help them burn fats. Hey, the only way to burn fats is to exercise kay!
Mom found out her weight ballooned from 55kg to 61.5kg while I was away, imagine what a pig lifestyle she must be leading. HAHA. Anyway I have been forcing her to wake up at 545 so that we can head for morning exercise. Oh yah, I ran 2.4km today…accomplishment for couch potato me. The last round was quite strenuous lah, wish I could run faster. It seems that my lungs will allow me to breathe now but my leg muscles start hurting when I exert myself. Thanks Darren, I have been concentrating on my breathing and using it to distract myself from the sheer drudgery of pounding my feet on the track.
