Bottlenecks...
I HATE BOTTLENECKS!
Do you notice that when you're the busiest, there will definitely be something extra cropping up?
This week has been a hell week for me, starting with an 8.15-5pm Monday, and assignments/tests due throughout the course of the week. To make things worse, people keep adding new stuff on me like presentations and mini assignments.
CUT ME SOME SLACK! (argh, as though the professors can hear me)
This reminds me of the time between JC and Uni when I interviewed for zillions of jobs but no one called. After my first call (it was relief teaching at a really horrible sec sch), many calls followed and I had to literally reject offers.
So I very much think that "it never rains, it pours!". However, bad times don't last that long (neither do good ones oh wellz) so on Thursday you will see a happier Swee San. Wait till I get thru my 8% memo, studying for chinese test AND leadership assignment.
One thing to smile about is that...
I HAVE PASSED MY DRIVING TEST.
If you want to know how many times I took to pass it, you can ask me about it. I will have some nice stories to tell you (if you haven't heard me already). What matters is that I don't need to take the driving test in Singapore so I can avoid failing it numerous times and waiting 2 months between tests.
My driving instructor has invited me and Pat to sit in his plane (he rents a plane to fly @ Raleigh). Wonder if he'll remember it in the end. It should be a pretty exciting flight!
Another thing to smile about is that...
Qiuwei is visiting me for Thanksgiving Break ( we get holiday from wed-Sun the wk after next ). Great! Chiat, Qiuwei and I will have lotsa fun. And I have this despo need to do shopping again. I haven't checked out any online shopping websites for a month liao cuz I've been so busy. Whenever I "think" I have a "free" week, it ends up being full of stuff like selling anti-bush tshirts to raise $$ for our t-shirt company. I can't believe that although Kerry lost, there are STILL people putting orders through me.
Wonder what you guys think about the US Presidential election. Is Bush an idiot? Is Kerry a fickle? Who is the lesser of the two evils? (thankfully this is not my business as I have no voting rights) The day after the election, Duke students didn't look too pleased and some were in fact, very distraught. =(
