Alert: Caterpillar Attack
That fateful day has come. I knew that it would happen to me sometime or other - A CATERPILLAR FELL ON ME!
Today I had to meet my boss,Jeff, to get more work and that required me to walk through the caterpillar infested section between Hoover Institution and Encina Hall. These little hairy creatures were plastered on metal railings and were hanging from all the trees (they're all oak trees). It was almost impossible NOT to run into one.
Well, I thought I had a pretty clear path ahead of me and would not encounter any caterpillars. However, on reaching Jeff's office and after we spent a moment discussing the newest project, he alerted me to a certain brown fuzzy presence on my camel coloured jacket. "You have one of those things on you"
I emitted a stifled scream but Jeff was already ready with the tissue paper and calmly got the caterpillar off me. For the whole day, I was extremely paranoid about this incident. I constantly checked the back of my jacket and touched my neck to ensure that none of these creatures got on me. I hope these creatures get eaten up by the birds soon. They're such a nuisance and Stanford grounds is still adopting a "we don't harm nature" stance. !@#$#@#$
