Sunday @ Wintergreen

Last Sunday, we went to Wintergreen snow resort to do some skiing and snowboarding. The bus left at 5am in the morning so we didn't get any sleep the night before and were super tired on the bus ride. The resort is about 4h bus ride from Duke and we got an extremely good group discount rate of $25. Its up in the blue ridge mountains and there were sooooo many people there that day:)
I decided to go snowboarding cuz my previous experience with skiing was extremely sucky. And hence, now I conclude that I am positively bad at any sports that makes you fall on your butt and then you gotta get up. Try falling down and getting up on a 35 degree slope with nothing under your feet but a board. Well, I could get up the first few times round but the snow board kept sliding down the slope...Up till now,my shoulders still ache but it was nevertheless a fun experience. I still haven't quite gotten used to leaning backwards while snowboarding cuz I usually lean forwards when I iceskate. That is why pat has taken a photo of me when I just fell down:P.

It is still icy cold at Duke. Dunno why...this time's Winter was definitely more mild that last year's but it is extremely draggy. We had a couple of warmer days (10-15 deg) or so but that quickly plummeted this week and we're back to 0-8 deg. The sun is rising earlier and setting later...when is daylight saving going to be changed?

This week has been a little crazier than usual...Had a business plan critique at prof's house on tues and a test on thurs with problem sets due!!!I realize that spring break is coming next week and I can't wait to go to Orlando! By then I'd have seen all the disneylands of the world...and you know what? I have no midterms till april! :D
