Back to School...Fall 2005

And so, I left Singapore yet again for dearest Duke.
The flight was comfortable except for the kid and american women sitting behind me who were speaking REALLY loudly and the woman even put her foot on the handrest in front of her...which happened to be MY handrest. I tried to sleep at US time 2am but couldn't due to the noise, the same woman was luffing at the stuff she was watching on TV, not even noticing the icy glares of the people sitting around her. I was seriously tempted to turn around and tell her off.
We nearly got stranded at Newark airport. The screwed up weather (at -4C) caused flights to be delayed till the next morning and luckily we were able to get an airport shuttle to fetch us to La Guardia Airport, about an hour's drive away. The rest of the flight was okay...reached school at midnight and expected to turn up for 8.30am class.
I'm still jet lagged. Don't sleep well, keep waking up 5-6 times a night and trying to sleep. Oh well... :(
Classes are fine for now. Taking econometrics which happens to be a bunch of useful statistics...no longer just learning about correlations but also correlations of stock prices. AHHH $.$ haha. Supposed to come up with a business plan by next month to be critiqued by another group...the funny thing is the plan is not graded but the critique is!
Hopefully, this sem should be okay and not like the mad rat race of last sem!
