Yesterday I went with the Singaporeans and Chinese nationals for the Mid Autumn Festival Celebration at Duke. It was *not* at all a traditional event. I mean I expected ppl playing with lanterns, eating mooncake and pomelos but all I saw were disco lights and about 200 ppl crammed into a small room. A senior had to help us get mooncakes which were apparently in great demand. The music was Xmas music played on Chinese instruments...what is this?!Distortion of Chinese festivals...tsktsktsk. I just wonder what they do to celebrate CNY.
My parcel has arrived BUT the postal system was so slow on notification that they only informed me at 3.30pm to collect my parcel and they close 5 min before 4pm. Sux...bah..now have to wait 3 more days for my mooncake and other acad/non acad stuff.
Oh yah..are there care bears being sold in Singapore? I tot they were extinct till I saw them in US.
Yeah man...weekend has arrived. While some ppl party their asses off, I have a Math exam on Friday!!
