I'm desperately trying to get tickets to fly home for winter. NW airlines is so bloody expensive plus the service sucks...I won't try taking this airlines again manz!=(
Talked to mom using Laura's room phone last night. Once she picked up the phone she was like "Why you never reply email ?Why is the computer spoilt?"scold scold. Aiyah but can tell that she's concerned. Then also, her voice was really loud on the phone and it seemed like she was shouting in my ear...ARGH.She asked me to do everything by myself- get an international student card(for cheap airfare),get airtickets..etc. I think the next time I tell her I'm travelling in US I think she also cannot be bothered. The bottomline is that she can't rule my life anymore!!!
Math Classes were ultimately BORING.I fell asleep during 2 consecutive Math classes (and those of you who know me would know that I CANNOT sleep in class no matter how much I try).Over here I'm getting about 6-7h of sleep everyday but still feel tired.Dunno what's wrong with me la.
My fellow Singaporeans in the FOCUS learning program are having a nice time writing essay papers and there's like a ton of hwk for them.I fortunately do not have as much hwk, just a bit of reading here and there. However, the FOCUS ppl have no final term exams!Oh nevermind!
Oh yes, the good thing about here is that there are hardly any restrictions when class size is a problem. Let's say this professor is damn popular and his class is full. As a student, you can approach him and gush about how you like his teaching method etc and want to join the class and he'll gladly expand the class to accommodate anyone who is interested. I think Duke learning is just driven by passion and haha the passion for good grades...=P
Dunno what to do during the weekend.Maybe go with Laura to Southpoint Mall (really far from here like 30 min drive) to shop or have ice cream with the Singapore Society.
I wish Orchard Road were nearby. Kinda miss milling around Taka and Wisma, not to mention Books Kinokuniya or even watching a movie at Cine.
