April 2nd:
The Singaporeans chilled out with dinner in the Randolph Commons plus chocolate fondue, courtesy of Laura and Kelvin. We enjoyed chocolate bananas, strawberries and marshmallows!
At about 10pm, Helen called for a chat. This is my first time talking to her ever since she called in Singapore…which was about a year ago! She’s a really good and supportive friend and was telling me about her life in Virginia. Apparently UVA seems less ulu than Duke.ARGH
Then I went back to chat with Laura, Pat, Yingmin and YQ. When Yingmin was away from her phone and it rang, we got Steve (this ang moh guy who speaks excellent Chinese) to tell the caller that she got the wrong number. HAHA. And guess what. It was Yingmin’s mother who called. Ooopsy! Her mother praised Steve for his really good Chinese though!
April 3rd:
NCAA basketball semifinals: We spent the night in Laura’s room watching Duke vs UConn. Pat kept screaming and screaming when we made mistakes and when we scored goals. HAHA…then guess what… Pat LOST HER VOICE later. HAIZ…we lost to UCONN by ONE POINT! ERGH…frustration or else we’d could have won the NCAA basketball title.
